We visited the Bath Spa with some good friend on New Years Eve 2009. It was a cold, cold, crisp evening and that was just perfect as we wanted to experience the contrast between the cold air and warm waters. The occasion was added to with a bible black sky studded with stars - that was until a blue moon rose slowly from behind the nearby Bath Abbey. The moon as so big and the contrasts were beyond description. Photography is banned at the Spa but that suited just fine as no photograph could match the memories. Just perfect!

* When a single month has two full moons, the second full moon is called a Blue Moon.
