Hull is the ultimate place for ship-lovers – unsurprising given the name really! From shiny yachts to hulking trawlers, there are masses of fantastic nautical sights. The marina is a lovely place to stroll around, with plenty of cafes where you can sit and admire the views. Just watch out for the seagulls trying to steal your sandwiches!

If you’re really into ships you can even go about the Arctic Corsair, which is an amazing vintage 1960s sidewinder trawler permanently moored on the River Hull. It just reopened on March 14th and is well worth a visit – as well as getting a guided tour of the vessel you’ll also hear all about life at sea from about the trawlermen who used to go all the way to Iceland. Inspiring stuff!

I didn't get any good shots while I was there, so I've used this one taken by Miguel Saavedra.
