Do not venture into the Winford Arms on the A38 unless you wish to be insulted, abused and generally humiliated.On the weekend of the 3rd - 5th of July, a large group of ladies drove from Sheffield to Bristol to take part in the Sunwalk. We booked a table for twelve at the Winford Arms on the Saturday night. Upon arrival, the table had been taken by another group of people and we were systematically ignored by the bar staff for twenty minutes before being asked what we wanted the Manager to do - "wave a magic bloody wand?" We were not offered an apology, a drink or even a replacement table until we complained loudly. Then we were shoved in a corner and had menus thrown at us. Suffice it to say, we left.What a poor example of Bristols hospitality. We were devasted by the way we were treated, especially by the so called manager. It ruined a lovely weekend that one of our number had been looking forward to during cancer treatment.Thanks once again, the Winford Arms Images No Image Available
