OK...... we were going to spend the day at Longleat in September this year but needed two. No kids in tow either as an excuse. We stayed overnight at the caravan site in the grounds - which was just fantastic - imagine sleeping in a van and hearing the lions roaring outside! And the sea-lions first thing in the morning
I was born the year that Longleat brought the Lions across to Wiltshire and had not visited for many, many years.
I loved the fact that we were 'caged' as such, in our cars instead of the animals being caged up. I love photography and so this was a veritable feast. The animals seem so well looked after and content. The lady who took our ticket,s first thing in the morning, for the safari park section - a blond, bubbly lady who used to work with the deer was so friendly and informative (sorry I didn't get her name)it all helps to make you feel very welcome. I will be back in the spring for some more photos.
