We were staying at Marina Residential and took the day to drive out through Stellenbosch to Rickety Bridge. There are billboards all along the side of the road and so I wasn't so impressed by where we were heading, but once we crossed the no-longer-rickety bridge across the stream, we were transported. Nestled on the side of the mountain and surrounded by vineyards stood these beautiful old Cape Dutch buildings. We had lunch at the restaurant and found it to be a relaxed, very unpretentious experience. We felt right at home and enjoyed the entire experience, the surroundings and the scenery.
