I have had a lifelong fascination for historical ships, but this is probably the best restoration I have seen. The inclusion of such things as waxwork figures and coals glowing in the boiler are very atmospheric, and my brief discussion on board with
Mr. Brunel ( is he one of the managers?) was interesting and enlightening. He certainly knows his subject. Unfortunately, the dire weather prevented me from getting to the Bridge and Temple Meads, but I will definitely pay a return visit, and hope to enjoy the experience of dining in the ship's restaurant.

I will convey my views to any likeminded friends and acquaintances.

Best Regards,

Doug Bateman.
