Despite living in Bristol for most of my life, i made my first trip to the SS GB during the Easter holidays along with my wife and our 2 kids [aged 7 and 3].

We had a fantastic time, and this really is something that our city should be proud of. Despite his age, our youngest maintained his interest throughout the visit - although when we ventured down below the deck, he did get concerned that there may be pirates on the ship and he'd someohow got it in his head that we could set sail at any moment!

Throughout the visit staff where helpful and knowledgable and IKB himself seemed to be in half a dozen places at once as he answered questions from other sightseers.

I loved the way that it didnt feel like a stuffy museum piece and you could
touch and interact with most of the exhibits. Even small details like the signs explaining why the false water level is leaking in places are very much appreciated.

With a lovely lunch in the cafe to finish, we spent a good 4 hours at the SSGB and would heartily recommend it to any other families who haven't yet given it a go.
