BLUE PLANET AQUARIUM Posted by: NISHA MARSH Date: 28/08/2008 Average Rating: YOUR RATING 0 Comments 683 Views Media caption My family and i visited the blue planet aquarium on the 25th of August. It was a bank holiday so i expected it to be busy so we arrived shortly after it opened. There were very few people there, which i thought unusual as we all know how hectic bank holidays can be! I paid the £55 entrance fee for my family which consisted of 2 adults and 3 children aged 13,5 and 2. I was told my 2 year old would have to pay full price as he was too tall for his age? I didnt mind paying this atall as we were expecting a fantastic day out.How wrong could i be! We had finished our day out in less than 2 hours! Dont get me wrong there are some fantastic species of marine life in the aquarium and my children really enjoyed having a good look around, the sharks were particularly fantastic and the stingrays were beautiful friendly creatures, happy to let you stroke them! There was a small outside play area with a small lake with otters living in it and there was a gift shop, but basically that was it! The blue planet is a nice morning out, it is no way worth the entrance fee, you would be better going around the corner to chester zoo and spending the whole day there. My younger children did enjoy it though and so did i to some extent, just dont go thinking you could be there for the day! There just isn`t that much to do! Images No Image Available
